From a spreadsheetto signed in two weeks.

Automation found the agencies, and AI handled the applications and emails, with a person approving every batch. An aspiring model signed with a top modeling agency about two weeks after outreach began.

The model and the agency are kept anonymous.

Who
An aspiring model looking for agency representation.
Challenge
Hundreds of agencies, each with its own way to apply, and no time to reach them all by hand.
What we built
An AI-assisted outreach workflow: research, applications, emails and reply tracking in one place.
Result
Signed with a top modeling agency about two weeks after outreach began, plus meeting and audition invitations.

The challenge

Getting signed often comes down to reaching the right agencies at the right time. Every agency has its own submission page, its own email and its own rules. Doing that by hand, one agency at a time, takes a very long time.

The goal was to reach every suitable agency, apply the way each one asks, and never lose track of a reply, while the model stayed in control of every message and every photo.

What we built

  • Every agency, in one sheetAutomated research across a public agency directory and agencies' own websites built a Google Sheet of 826 agency offices, each with its city, scouting contact and submission page.
  • Applications, handledAI filled in online application forms, uploaded the chosen photos and checked for a confirmation. In total, 130 agency offices had confirmed applications.
  • Emails that sound like youAI drafted personalized emails from the model's own approved introduction, with a link to their portfolio website for each agency. 317 went out to agencies, in approved batches.
  • Every reply, trackedReplies were sorted into personal responses, automatic receipts and new instructions, and logged in the sheet, so every next step was clear.

How we kept it respectful

  • A person approves every batchEvery email batch was approved before it went out, and consent questions on forms always went to the model.
  • The model choosesThe model picked every photo and detail that was shared, and handled every conversation and signing decision personally.
  • Public business contacts onlyResearch used only publicly listed agency contacts, screened for closures, duplicates and eligibility rules.
  • No means noRestrictions and past responses were recorded, to avoid contacting anyone twice, or after they asked not to be.
  • A dedicated, paced accountEmails went from a separate modeling Gmail account, in batches of up to 25 with pauses in between.

The result

About two weeks after outreach began, the model signed a management agreement with a top modeling agency. Along the way, outreach brought in meeting and audition invitations.

What do these words mean?
Automation
Software doing repetitive steps for you, like visiting hundreds of websites or sending a batch of emails.
Playwright
A tool that drives a web browser like a person would: clicking, typing and uploading.
Headless Chrome
Google Chrome running without a window, so software can read pages that need a full browser.
MCP
Model Context Protocol. A standard way to connect an AI assistant to tools like Gmail.
Scheduled automations
Tasks that run on their own at set times, like checking for new replies.
Batches
Sending emails in small groups with pauses, so the sending account stays in good standing.
Tracking links
A unique link for each agency, so you can see which portfolios were opened.
Umami
Privacy-friendly website analytics that count visits without tracking people across the web.
